Howard Shore – The Lord of the Rings (The Fellowship of the Ring – Soundtrack)

I’ve been away for a while, but this is worth coming back. And it is NOT about the soundtrack really, although it is great and the movie is the best of the three adaptations. This is to honor the memory of Christopher Tolkien, JRRT’s son, for whom The Professor had invented the Hobbit as a bedtime story and who devoted his life to publishing Tolkien’s work posthumously. Without CJRT, who also drew the map in the Lord of the Rings books, we would never have discovered the true magic of Tolkien’s creation. We would never have been able to read The Silmarillion. May he now discuss his work with his father in the Halls of Mandos!
