Emerson, Lake and Palmer – Brain Salad Surgery
This album is, again, something completely different. Look at the cover, the artwork, that opens at the front to reveal a different image. That alone is just cool. The music? Well, there’s a hymn, an abstract (if music can be abstract, „Toccata“ definitely does it), a ballad, a bar fight and an epic of about half an hour length in three movements, telling about a computer ruling over man. Add the amazing talents of the three musicians and you get this masterful piece.
